Abigail Bowen James, MSN, NP

Mrs. Abby James is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. Abby is originally from Virginia but came to Nashville in 2000 to attend Vanderbilt University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational development with a focus in Health Services. She stayed on at Vanderbilt to complete her Masters in Nursing in 2005, where she graduated summa cum laude in her class. Abby has worked in Dermatology for ten years prior to joining Cumberland Skin in May of 2016. She is an active member of Tennessee Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Dermatology Nurses Association. Abby is certified in administering Botox and dermal fillers, and treats a wide array of medical dermatology needs including acne, psoriasis, eczema, general skin care regimens, and hyperhidrosis. She also performs annual skin cancer screenings and performs biopsies and small skin cancer surgeries.
